Interlude: Something breaks

There are some people who will only approach their mistrusted allies in a public confrontation or the shadowy privacy of said enemy’s quarters, beit to extend an olive branch or a knife. Oceanglide was not precisely surprised when Ironhide approached him, in his quiet spot at the edge of camp.

He looked up still, regarding the rust-orange warrior in silence s she drew near. She stopped a bare couple of paces away from him. Not sitting, of course. Her Autobot must be recharging again, recovering from his fresh damage. Or was he? Did he know what his little friend was doing? Oceanglide wondered. They were distant enough from the others: no-one would hear them unless they raised their voices.

Her manner was hesitant; there was an air of anxiety that Oceanglide was too experienced a hunter of bots to miss. An apology, then. Since the hated Decepticon had guarded her back and fought beside her. Well, he would be gracious-

“I need your help.”

Oceanglide’s optics flickered before he could help it. Ironhide charged on in the broken silence.

“I need to find someone,” she said, voice hushed with desperation, and Oceanglide knew before she said the name. “Terrorsaur.”
