You're both wrong. What you're forgetting is that when a dog and a rabbit both travel on land at the speed of light divided by the number of hairs on their respective bodies, it opens a gateway to another world, and summons forth a dragon, who would travel twice as fast as either of them, after setting them both ablaze, and win the race.

It's a trick question, see?
