if it helps, my mother knows i have worn a corset, and seen said corset, albeit not on me (i borrowed it from a friend who wore it to our high school prom, so she's actually seen it on someone). she was not shocked or appalled, just wondered how uncomfortable it actually was. heh. of course, i do not know your mother.
