Oh my GOD I see now why True Blood was the top trending topic on Twitter last night. I'm having heart palpitations, seriously. There was one really predictable part, but it was done in a really cool way. The rest was just ... phenomenal.
THIS IS GOING TO BE SUCH A LONG WEEK, AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH. WANT TO KNOW! Jason gets shot? What? The demonic sex orgy is out in the open? (In a joke way, at least. Tara is starting to put the pieces together.)
And Godric is SO PRETTAAAAY!!! He doesn't have dreads this time, but still hot. Oh, the sweet gay love he and Eric must have had. *covets graphic scenes of* And Eric ran off to save the day for Sookie, but Godric got there first. EVERYONE is just so in lurve with Sookie, aren't they? :D I have heard (very reliable, I think, so I won't repeat it) speculation about where the love lives are going, and I must say, I approve. (I can't believe Sookie almost got raped though, HOLY SHIT. That was graphic - not in a traumatic way, IMO, because you knew the 'save' was coming, but graphic - and realistic, in a "this is why I say rape is a HATE CRIME" sort of way - enough that just that image makes me want to rock myself in a corner for at least a few hours while I sputter unintelligibly. Holy CRAP.)
The "twist" I saw from the start of the storyline was that the human lover guy was the traitor. I didn't know if his vampire lover was in on it, too, but I'm glad she wasn't. And I'm glad they were in an authentic relationship and this was a choice he made afterwards rather than a-church-of-the-sun-guy-infiltrating-years-ago, which would be dumb. So when he was "revealed" and there was a pause for the viewer to go, "Oh my," I was just like, "Yup, I was right." So that was boring. BUT the rest of the storyline and how they dealt with that was awesome, so I forgive them.
Did anyone else see that "twist" two miles off? Did they not execute it very well, or are we just that smart? :)
But next week - oh, god, next week can't come soon enough! *wants*
