:-) welcome back. I find that on modern day LJ, which is well, quite a bit more muted than it once was, you have no obligation to read and keep up with all of your friends. I read when I can, post what I want, and worry less about why no one's commenting on my posts. It is much more just for me than it ever was.
Errr.... not that I'm saying I'll never comment on a post of yours, just not every time!
That makes sense, and is actually what I'd prefer. I mean, I definitely miss the LJ community of old, but I don't think I could keep up with it now even if it still existed. But I'd much rather post here and occasionally touch base with my old LJ friends (who I've missed a lot too!) than post on Blogger or something where I know no one and no one knows me.
