falfox and I are switching wireless service to AT&T. Yes, we know... evil empire and all, but they can bundle everything we need for far less than all our otherwise individual plans (internet, phone, wireless) would be combined. Alas, I'll have to part with my beloved phone, and since it has been so good to me, I am going to try and find it a good home

I hope you have better fortunes than I did with AT&T. They were right bastards to me when they bought out SunCom, my provider at the time.
I'm not certain of anyone who would be interested in your phone. One of my closest friends uses Sprint and she beats the crap our of her phone, but I think she's attached to it. I can ask her, though. *smiles*

We hope for better fortunes, too. We've both been displeased with AT&T for different reasons in the past, but we hold out some hope that this time around we won't have anything to complain about. At least no more complaints than we've had with Sprint. *smiles*

I had the displeasure of having to interact with there people several years ago when I worked with the Company that is now Verizon.
We currently have them for home service simply because they bought out our old carrier. So far I cannot complain. They keep sending outrageous offers to upgrade. The one yesterday was an actual greeting card!
We plan on ditching them if we ever get around to moving.
I can't blame you for wanting to save a little $$$. :-D

And, yeah, I've had difficulties with AT&T bugging us about our upgrading our long-distance service. Not sure how many times I can say, "Stop calling me, please."

Most of the stuff we get now are mailers, thank goodness.
Some companies are good and hang up if you remind them you are on the do-not-call list and they are legally harassing you by calling. Others do not.
I feel a bit bad about admitting this but...I have tried to be nice to the telemarketers.
We had a collection agency calling for a person who gave them our number and they didn't want to believe me when I told them thier dilenquent must have given them a random #.
They started hanging up on me when I told them how often they were calling (upwards of 5 times a week!)...Telling them what they were doing was harrassment, and I'd have to take legal action...But they kept calling.
Finally, I'd pick up the phone and scream into it.
I know it's horrible, but it worked!
