wow, west coast east coast or somewhere in between? LOL, that's a lot of options :)
Yay for the vampire AU progress but noooooo!! Please don't bail on the fandom. You two do the greatest art + writing duo EVAH, I would miss it terribly and am probably not the only one!
Rawwwr, I knooow. ;_; ::sigh:: I'm kind of thinking it might be time to suck it up and get ready to apply to grad school...but I'm also aware that part of my reluctance is due to fear of rejection, too, lol. Because then if I don't get in, wtf will I do with myself, then? ahhhrggg...
Lol! I'm very flattered to hear you say so, even though I don't think we've even posted anything Saiyuki-related in the last year... Hmm, I do have various semi-written pieces languishing in my writing folder that I may eventually find the inspiration to finish someday, I'll have to see. :D
And while it'll be sad if you fade out of Saiyuki fandom, interests change and all, and (selfishly) I'm pretty happy you're stepping into the Holmes fandom. And speaking of which, OMG. That fandom needs some good, Not So Srs writing in it. (If I read one more story in which Watson or Holmes call each other "husband" in a serious manner, I am going to smack somebody.)
I know--which is exactly what makes it so hard. >:T
lolol, yes, I'm looking forward to being able to finally contribute something to the new fandom I've been enjoying so much (and forcing Xpyne along with me despite her whining). omg, where are you finding these stories?? lol! I've read quite a bit so far, most of it from the kink meme and holmeswatson09, and I don't think I've stumbled across that particular, erm, ridiculousness. lmao)
Oh, a lot of the stories that get posted to cox_and_co, especially from before when the movie came out, are sickeningly sappy and creepily modern in their portrayal of the relationship between Holmes and Watson.
I'm really sorry to hear that your plans for SF fell through. :( I know how much you were looking forward to moving out there with your friends. *hugs*
And I hear you on the dragging your feet for graduate school. I've been starting to look at stuff again, and every time I do I get so overwhelmed I don't even want to think about it. And damn it, I'm not ready to be a big girl with a big girl job and a big girl life! *shakes fist*
That's sad to hear that you'll be moving on for Saiyuki, but I know I can always call and harass you with the latest news and gossip it's good that you're still finding somewhere to keep writing. Personally, I think that's the most important thing.
Maybe the S&H fandom needs someone who will come in and say, "Look guys, why so srs?" XD And I think you'd be just the person for the job. ;) I look forward to seeing what you come up for it (and for Trek! Can't forget that! :D :D)
ILU ♥ And I'm calling your ass tonight whether you like it or not! :P
Ahhaha, you know I love you to death, but I don't think I'd be comfortable living in the South with a 'married' couple like you and Jimmie... XDDD
Oh, well, not exactly 100%-fell-through, which is why I said "semi," but I can explain better over the phone. I mean, I could still do it at this point, but minus one of the two friends, and I'm wondering if it would be the best thing for me. Woe, decisions!Ugh, yes. A pain in the butt times 10, and the concern of what I'll do if I don't get in (due to that ONE class I always complain about and that stupid C I got, my final GPA kind of ended up at the bottom of the spectrum of "good" grades >:I). ::shakes fist harder:: lol

Oh, you say that now... you gotta visit me first and then you can say that! :P
Big people decisions. *sage nod* It's so hard.
Tell me about it! I'm floating in that same boat. And I have to find time/money to take the GRE and all that.
Well, like sharpeslass said down below my comment, it could always come back. But I think for now, go explore your other fandoms. Saiyuki will be here when you get back. ;)
Damn skippy! I'll be sure to text you before. And I can order your king cake while we talk. ;)
Nooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! You cannot abandon Saiyuki: it needs you!!!! Perhaps the new material coming out will revitalize you a bit? Really, also, in my experience, fandoms don't die, they just simmer on the back-burner waiting to be rediscovered or to serve as a sort of comfort food during uncertain times. Just... never say never, okay? You are such a valuable part of the Saiyuki community. And.. you'll still go to y-con right? Because trust me, ST cons are not nearly as fun and (take it from a 40 year old fan) Trek fans are not as easy to bond with... though the newbies could be a bit less socially awkward, I suppose). I'd say anything at this point to keep you in Saiyuki though. (Your frogs, for example, are fans...) Besides, I only just met you guys. *sulks

lololol! Again, very flattered here, but I don't think Xpyne and I have been quite the powerhouse within the fandom as we once imagined ourselves in over a year. X'D Though I will admit a big cause of my ennui has definitely been the lack of new material, fuckyouTokyopop. And like I said to chorus_of_chaos, I've got quite the folder of Saiyuki projects in various states of undress progress sitting on my desktop, so there's always hope for the unexpected strike of inspiration
