I guess that means that the savings bonds that my mother in law bought for my kids will mature when they're in their 40's!

Good thing they won't need that money for college or anything like that. :/

Ugh. The government is going to lose all financial credibility with the American citizen, I tellyouwut.

Sure! Use billions of dollars we don't have to "bail out" the banks, even though they're just going to use it to line their own pockets. Nah, don't bother punishing them for it, either--shucks, we'll just chalk it up to a life lesson learned! 。◕‿~。

Heck, while you're at it, borrow my money! No, no, don't worry about reimbursement, just give yourself a reeeal long time in which to pay it back, and I'll probably have completely forgotten about it by then, buddy. (Or, if you're really lucky, I might have even died by then! ⌒ヮ⌒d)
