Time was like a broken watch

I feel like I construct these walls around my life so that I'm able to control who or what ideas enter into my world. Or at least I can anticipate what people/ideas will be coming into my future and then mold those experiences to fit my liking. I can also ostricize specific individuals or nostalgic memories so that I don't have to feel the pain ( Read more... )

it's your quarter-life crisis. you captured how i feel on a daily basis word for word. my advice is that you repress everything and act out in inappropriate ways.

thus is my specialty: acting out in inappropriate ways. is there such a thing as just a Life Crisis? that's what i feel like, at least. there are random, sparse moments where i'm not questioning giant problems or mundane observances and those times are usually synchronized with sleeping or watching t.v.

and i don't own a t.v.

fuck.

hey, at least i bought the kills because of you yesterday. you have such great taste in tunes-- not that i am the specialist, but i have to speculate that your taste is far beyond that of any other. word.

"no wow" is the hottest little number. it makes me shake my ass so hard.

ps: are we still down for the raveonettes? please please pretty please?

you bet your booty-shakin' ass we're down for the raveonettes. i bought my ticket last week and it'll be at will call. ooh, do call. i find myself growing more and more excited by the passing of each day to not only see an amazing show, but to hang out with you. mmm, dee-lish!

also, thank you for the musical-grab-ass, it is supremely appreciated since i basically hold you higher than any other when it comes to sweet tunage. the kills are indeed amazing, but i must admit that you will have to see them live. it's a sexstorm onstage, which makes those watching feel mildly cheated on when it's over but thoroughly aroused. THOROUGHLY.

hey, i'm totally buying that album asap. especially if it's soul-crushing. or just body crushing, because i don't know if i have a soul. speaking of - hunter s. thompson's death was pretty much the most in-denial moment of my existence. i can't fathom his madass not living. hey! maybe if we have some fear and loathing times when i'm down god will put US on his hit list! fuck, that would be magnificent ( ... )

Too bad I'm the one that makes money like Fred Astaire. Was this weekend a dream? Because that means you must have been dreaming too. Fuck, I hope it was real.

The earlier My Bloody Valentine work sounds like a horrible B-52s record, but they start heating up on "Ecstasy" EP and "Isn't Anything" and everything after. That's my two cents.

If you haven't already heard of Autolux, you should check out their new album "Future Perfect". They are opening for the Raveonettes, and they use a lot of feedback and distortion waves ala Sonic Youth.

excellent advice, i must say. i've heard a tad bit of autolux, but nothing to really give me a good grasp. i'll definitely check it out.

also, i'm sad i didn't get to see you this last weekend when i was down at kevin's. maybe next time.
