Speaking to the little people, eh Highness?

Glad to see you well, and that you and your guard dog made it to safety.

{relieved laugh}

Balthier! You know very well: Emperor, King or Queen- all are only as good as their subjects.

He is a good guardian and never have I found myself in a dire situation where he did not come to my aid. I owe him my life and loyalty in return, a thousand times over.

How fare you, Balthier? I know in my world I saw you scarcely a few hours ago, but I hear time follows a different route here.

You must be positively devious then!

He is that, if a bit headstrong and cocksure at times. Though I think he'll be happy to know his efforts are appreciated.

For me it has nearly been a year and I recently sent a letter to... ah, but how rude of me to spoil it for you. You shall have to see for yourself.

Where do you stand in our journey?

Devious and stubborn, are what we Solidors are known to be- or so I've heard.

Yes, I certainly do not seek to know the ending to my tale before I have lived it! I am content to travel through life instead of having it handed to me.

Last I remember, I had fallen asleep on the Alexander as Gabranth was escorting me from Holy Mt. Bur Omisace and back to Archades upon the news of my father's death.

I must confess, when first I awoke I thought myself at Nabudis for my studies had told me the ruined country looked...like this.

Yes, I'm aware of the country through your brethren. A pleasure to greet you, little noble.

Aye sir. We spoke briefly before, did we not? I do apologize, I found myself in rather dangerous surroundings and thus could not converse with anyone properly.

May I ask what I may address you by?

Not to worry, I wasn't offended.

Johnny Sfondi, my friend! Premier air pirate of the Planet Earth and man of the people. I lead the Jellyfish Pirates, who raid the corrupt and oppressive, then give to the downtrodden masses.

And what purpose do you follow?

A pleasure, Johnny sir. Never in my life did I think I would meet a sky pirate- and here I have met another!

The purpose I follow is one of Justice and Order. A duty passed to me through the bloodline, though I admit it no easy task. An Empire fallen to corruption and oppression; this is what I must remedy.

A hard task it may be, but I do not wish to shirk such a responsibility. It was given to me and I will bear it.

We have a political situation?!

solidor_heir November 8 2008, 14:07:58 UTC
It seems we do not have a political situation because politics here seem to be nonexistent.

But do not dally on such thoughts if the world of politics is not to your liking. You best leave it to those of us accustomed to such workings.

L-A-M-E. I think, like, we should totally make Stan be king and, like, be done with it.

Well if you think that, then you should approach this 'Stan' and ask if he is brave and responsible enough to take leadership and action in this here lawless state.

Frankly, I've little idea of the 'political situation' here since I don't know all the personalities involved, but it's looking pretty chaotic from where I stand...

I hear it was worse, before.

It's not as disordered as you'd think to look at it, though. There might be disagreements over... moral issues, but it seems like people have come up with a system at least for sorting out some basic necessities.

Well, then hearing that does offer a ray of hope- no matter how small it may be. At least people have not altogether lost their sense of right and wrong.

'Lost it' isn't exactly the right way to put it... looking around, it's more like they've had to redefine it.

I still don't know enough about this city. I need to ask more questions...

Then we will have much to learn together, if we are to uncover anything useful.

Lord Larsa, tis good to have you well.

Forgive me for not coming to your aid before... I... found myself in a situation that did not end well.

Though Gabranth did get to you in time. You are in capable hands and he shall protect you well. Then again, I am sure you know this.

Nothing to forgive, Captain. I am glad to hear you safe and sound as well. Perhaps, should the situation settle, we Ivaliceans could gather sometime soon?

I fear I have a lot to learn about this place and would rather selfishly hear it from comrades firsthand.

Most of us are already together. Balthier took my in on my arrival, then when Fran's young sister Mjrn was brought here as well we took her in.

Her Majesty has only recently moved in with us, more to keep her closer, to keep her safe. Gabranth has his own abode, where you now reside. Twould be nice to see the both of you though.

Tis understandable. This place is... wicked...

solidor_heir November 10 2008, 01:05:40 UTC
Wicked, indeed is the proper word.

I do hope, despite our differences as Dalmascans and Archadians, we can set all aside to work towards bettering this here lawless land.

I do look forward to seeing you all as soon as it is safe to do so.
Give my greatest regards to the Princess, please.
