location: Outside Massimo, world 1
I could not have imagined just how green this city is. For all the rooftop gardens, parks and plazas, Arcades is still very much a technological city, and the plants merely accent the fact. Here though, each building trails flowers from its gutters to its gardens, perfuming the air in unfamiliar scents.

I tell you, the Republic is somewhat reminiscent here within this odd city, though, I doubt it was as green as here.
Money shall not be much of a issue once we find a decent way to earn such. Maybe we might be able to find temporary jobs here, though I am quite sure whatever they have to offer here will be lacking compared to the duties we are so used too.
And yes, I have faith that I will find you a way to return to the Empire. I fear whatever chaos has sprung since your absence, but for now...
The your company is quite relaxing. I am glad for whatever little moments we may have, for I fear such may never happen again.

Given that the duties I have become accustomed to lately have all involved vast amounts of paperwork, I shall either fare quite well, or be glad of the change.
I have no doubt that we shall pass through several worlds before another alignment with Ivalice occurs. Perhaps I shall try at least one new thing in each world, for I am sure I shall not have the time once I return to Archades.
...I fear you shall not be able to return to Ivalice and therefore wish to make our company now pleasant memories.
And I fear also that, once home, at any moment I should look through a door and see instead Massimo, and not wish to turn aside, and instead, step through again.

It is truly a blessing to speak with you again, Larsa. It is as if this is a second chance of some kind, I shall not waste it with such rhetoric of past exploits.
Shall we simply speak as friends? It's been awhile since my thoughts came upon the past of my youthful years in Landis. I swore I forget such tales once I lost home and kin alike.
Landis was quite a beautiful country, a long ways far from Dalmasca and Naburdia, but not far enough from the Empire that claimed her.
Green, so gentle in it's green hues...so green, nearly like here.
Landis had its own sense of culture despite being quite diverse in peoples that would travel there. Archades somewhat reminds me of Landis as well, though we not as technology advance as the Empire...
But at least we had such vast fields to admire there.

Though isn't there a throne somewhere getting a bit cold with you here?

It is good to see you, Al-Cid. So long it has been since Bur'O'Misace, and in all that time your 'birds' have flown my way with but three letters, and not a single journey to Arcades. I hope you do not believe that your nationality witholds you from visiting?
Still, such thoughts are trivial now. You likely know already, but the only world door that leaves the bar at present leads to this city. Curiously, the locals have chosen not to name it, or at least, they have not spoken its name in our presence.
