June will be your 10th anniversary at work. You said you had intended (and rightly so) to ask for a raise at that time. Is that still the plan regardless of the upcoming meeting?
I've read that asking for a raise after a round of layoffs in a company or even in the middle of a recession can work wonders. The caveat is that it must be a high caliber employee asking for the raise (which you are).
The fact that you've survived layoffs and downturns in the economy over the past decade means that the management values your contribution to the company and they can not afford to lose you at this crucial time. So hitting them up for a raise now may be counter intuitive to most people, but doing so as a valued employee is a shrewd move.
