A "clever" logo design gone wrong

What is wrong with this design?
It's quite clever, the defining colours, the shape formed by the letters in one flowing form but there is a problem with this design that I encounter quite often.

So their idea of fixing it was to thicken the stroke on the letter breaks and change it to blue? Wow some rocket scientists they have there.

I'll be honest the only thing that I noticed is that the A and B together look like a rudimentary erect dick and balls, then again based on your above comments maybe that's fitting.

Not saying that it's bad I think it's a nice design and a strong logo but that shape really jumps out once it's monocolour.

Ha! I thought the same thing.
Now the balls are blue.
