"Ah." -_-

I'm in the car with my mother on the way home from my fabulous, if somewhat frustrating, job at Barnes and Noble. I'm squeaking in delight on account of my big bag of free books I received (they're pre-releases, some of them are even uncorrected proofs! Yippee!), and I tell my mom, "And that's not all! WHY DID YOU ORDER IT OMGGGG I'M SO EMBARRASSED LOL

but my mom's the same way. It's kind of better now because I've found something -- back in AI6 fandom, a bunch of us did a project where we all had each others' addresses and stuff so anytime I talk about an online friend I just tell my mom they were part of that, whether they actually were or not. But I'm 21 and she still occasionally does the :| YOU NEVER KNOW WHO IT REALLY IS thing occasionally.

Why did I order it? Because I felt the need lol. Well it's not even the "YOU NEVER KNOW WHO IT REALLY IS" thing, it's more of a...hmm...it's hard to explain...more of a... "Oh, well ~they don't really matter," kind of thing. Like...I was explaining what the book of essays was about, and she was so interested, and I'm like blah blah women leaders blah blah, and then the tone of the conversation shifted after she found out you were ~online and it didn't really matter to her anymore. I think it really bothers her and I don't know why exactly. :/
