Heavy done well. Didn't feel exploitative either, as most heavy films tend to come across to me.

Is it on Netflix? That's the only way I see movies these days.

The whole Israel thing is something I've been keeping a close eye on. I understand current events, but not really their back story. Any information I've gotten comes from my Israeli friend who served in the IDF. Maybe this would be a good way to go about getting info.

The movie is really a series of vignettes from Israelis who served in the IDF. Casual-scripted interview format, with full scenes of their memories interspersed. Doesn't sound too different than how you get your info! Just.. more graphic. Some things don't get said, but shown.

And I don't think it's on Netflix yet. Any way you can do a search? It's an Academy Awards nominee for Best Foreign Film so I'm sure it'll pop up there soon.
