I taught Borges (The Library of Babel) to a fourteen year old today, then Stephen Millhauser's new story from Harper's. It turned into an impromptu lesson about black holes, event horizons, and space-time continuums. I love my job.

Here's another chorus in the endless repetition of "I wish I had your job so bad I think that I'll explode."

It has seriously spoiled me for life...

It does freak me out a little, though, because I am so ready to move but so hesitant to give up complete freedom in this thing we call a job that eats up so many hours of our life.

Decisions, decisions.

I know, right? It's silly, really.

But there is a caveat, as always, in that I'm so ready to move but so hesitant to give up a job like this. Such is life, I suppose...

Tea and books sounds good! And I want to hear all about Austin. My life will be considerably less hectic (school and three jobs) after May 22nd, so I will give you a call/inform you of any impromptu picnics.

Borges at 14? Stories from Harper's and lessons about ultracool physics stuff? Wow, am I ever jealous of your students. I bet you are one awesome teacher.
