Vague indeed. Charlie Kaufman usually can't do much better than vague, I've found, and disguises it as a private joke for the audience not to get (or to pretend to get if they're that kind of audience).

Actually, most of Charlie Kaufmann's references are to poetry. If you take the time to research his words a bit, you'll see it's really not that vague.

I really liked this, but I wasn't familiar with what it was from. After I googled it, I remembered that a friend told me they'd seen the movie and liked it. I'll have to add it to my netflix list. Thanks for posting it.
