It sounds like they still have a lot of growing up to do. I know people in their 30's who just decided to wake up and become an adult overnight. I'm so sorry they're bringing you down like this. It's not your fault though. Right now, they think they know it all, and they have found security in the lifestyle they are living. It's unstable though, and won't last forever. They'll end up seeing someone else who may have tattoos and a punky appearance while leading a predominantly sober and successful life, and it will snap them into reality. That's usually what happens. Unfortunately, they won't listen to you... they have to learn it the hard way, but I'm sure they will.
