Million Dollar Baby is the most recent movie to make me cry. I don't mean the single tear rolling out of the corner of your eye that may be a physical reaction to forgetting to blink for 2 hours in an air conditioned room. I mean body shaking sobs.
From the point where he tells Maggie that Mo Cuishle means "my darling, my blood" I lost pretty much all rationality and surrendered to the emotion of the moment. I can't think of many moments in film that have given me that.
me either. i think Hotel Rwanda was one of the few others, but for different reasons. i'm always likely to cry when people die in movies, but usually not that much.
