ATTN TEACHERS- advice needed

Oct 15, 2008 11:36

One of my coworkers who's moving to CA, his wife is looking to go to college to become an elementary school teacher. She's finishing her AA and needs to start on the major, but isn't having much luck getting info from the various CA colleges.

So the question is-
Where should she go? What should she do?
What colleges have good programs?

Thanks in

A friend of mine has been teaching for 2 years now. She has her BS in engineering and is going to be taking classes for 3 years to finish her credentials. So based on that I know you don't necessarily need a degree.

Seconding the CSUF teaching program. I don't actually know anything about it, but I've heard that it is where to go for elementary and the like.

Ok. To teach public school (which is usually pays the best and gives you good job security because they'll do their best to find you a position if RIFF notices are sent) you need a bachelor's degree plus a teaching credential which takes typically 2 semesters ( ... )
