Will be in lab till midnight today but at least it gives me time to catch up on So You Think You Can Dance. Season 3 (because this dance is ♥♥♥). I loved Katee and Joshua (and Chelsea and Mark and Twitch and others) from last season but I'm not so sure about this season so far. There's nobody who's made me feel excited yet. That will hopefully

Ooh, can I just say that I am feeling really happy that you're back to writing again? Please meta fic all you want. *_* That snippet is so intriguing and just feels so right.
YES to everything you've mentioned about Kame and success and baseball. Someone mentioned before (I'm paraphrasing) that Kame is so driven to be a success and works twice as hard right now because he wants to make the sacrifices he made for JE (baseball) worth it and that just really struck a cord. Oh, Kame D:
Thanks. I have the oddest impression that I put it into the suit compartment of my suitcase only my suitcase doesn't have a suit compartment :((
Kame is complex *nods* So the post is a bit misleading since the snippet has nothing to do with anything. It's actually from a Koki/Kame WIP from years ago where it's all melodramatic and Jin is in LA but he calls Koki up and they have a Very Awkward conversation where Jin's like, "Tell Kame you think he's beautiful." And Koki's all >:(( "Kame is beautiful, yo." And Jin says, "I know that. But. Kame likes to be reminded."
...it is late and a fire alarm has just kicked me from my bed.
God, I LOVE So You Think You Can Dance. Although I have only seen 2 series'!
Eeee! I would be tearing apart my house if I lose a Vera Wang dress (I don't own a Vera Wang dress, but I'd be CRYING if I did and misplaced it). Hopefully it turns up! It must be somewhere!
OH KAME. Kame is absolutely a heartbreaker. That letter he wrote to his older self when he was a kid, and which he then read on K by K about made me BAWL for real face.
I like meta as much as the next girl but fic is more entertaining in the long run, I think. Because then you can run as far as you want with an idea and not have to entertain (too seriously) the possibility that some of it might be true. I'm very pleased that you're writing again, though I fear you'll end up breaking my Kame-loving heart. I just want him to be happy and carefree, and not putting himself under so much pressure. Nothing should ever wipe that beautiful smile from his face.
That's it exactly! Also because there are feelings that are hard for me to describe. Sometimes, it's more about the way I think this certain person will react to such and such an event which, to me, shows more about their character than anything. But, like you say, it's all good fun in the long run. I've always wanted to see if I can pull a Mec and write a >40k fic :D

(since you are so subtle and since I've given up on it due to Kimura adding too much details to canon for it to work any more and I'm too lazy to rewrite.)
The first time Kame meets Kimura is bumping into him on the street. Literally.
Kame's on his way out of a small combini, a pack of cigarettes in hand, kind of in a hurry and collides head-first into someone taller than him, smelling of smoke and cologne and vanilla and Kame actually finds it amazing the things you can register in a split second, while falling on your ass.
"It was my fault," Kame says when the man apologises and then abruptly halts, noticing the face that goes with the outstretched hand.
"Kame!" Kimura Takuya says delightedly, as if they haven't met in ages. Which is technically true. Just like they haven't met at all prior to this. "What a coincidence

It takes Kame at least a three quarters of an hour to make it out of the fitting room. First it's the store clerks, bringing him piles of Kimura's suggestions. And then it's Kimura, hovering outside, asking him if he's decent every second minute, humming and adjusting jackets, sidling up behind Kame in front of the mirror to get a better view from the right angle. Except 'the right angle' produces all the wrong reactions in Kame's chest

KOKAME!!!!!!! I keep like...plotting out Kokame fic in my head like ajsj I have this ridiculous idea where Koki introduces Kame to his gf and they become super close and end up gossiping and shopping and being bffs and it would be so cute :(
I hope you find your dress!
ksjd I will eventually reply to your email btw. When do you let out from school?

Hey, that was an accident. I had no idea there were so many thousands of words of backstory just waiting to emerge when I sat down at my laptop!
Anyway, yes, you should definitely do it! Your own personal "break the records" for this year - writing a >40k fic. ^_^

LOL. No hurry :) You're going to Japan soon, right? There is really no letting out from grad school. It's like work only with worse benefits.
