I'm alive!!!

Can finally post now that my life is a bit calmer. Not much has happened/a lot of little things have that have made me randomly think "this would make a good LJ post" though of course I can't remember any of that now. My life for the past few months can basically be summed up with:

The Good: Passed my qualifying exam! Am now an official PhD

i tend to write posts, letters, postal, tweets, diary entries, stories, fic, w/e all day long but the moment i get online/take a pen i totally can't write at all. sometimes i hate my inability to express myself in writing :|

The Good: Congrats! your hard work has paid ff /thumbs up

The Bad: well, there's always the hope of miraculously marrying kame?

The Ugly: dunno, i mean, before psychobabble on the internet there was a lot of psychobabble on tv, and before that on radio, and before that on newspaper, and before THAT faulty psychobabble on books, so i don't think the blame falls on the internet ---

Conclusion: more free time = more akame fic/drawings, y/y? =D

Congratulations on passing the exam! Does this mean life just gets scarier from now on? Sorry about the break-up, though. I wouldn't worry too much about the psychobabble - maybe you're just getting together with the wrong kind of people to suit you?

Am now slightly obsessed with BBC Sherlock and can't decide if this is good, bad, or something in between.

It's good! I enjoyed the miniseries a great deal, despite a couple of minor annoyances, and I'm glad to see my friends around the world are enjoying it too. ^_^

Thank you! Well, it means life is going to be all about research from now on...Lol. I hardly know what to do with myself right now. Oh, don't worry about the psychobabble. I go through phases :P

I'm so happy with Sherlock :D Mmm, I agree with minor annoyances but mine are mainly about the plot. What minor annoyances do you have?

My minor annoyances (other than the second episode's plot) tend to be more cast/character-centric. I'm not keen on them having a super-skinny Mycroft, because to me he's an enormous sloth who never leaves his chair at the Diogenes. Also not mad on Moriarty, if indeed that is the real Moriarty, because his voice drives me up the wall. I think they might've gone a touch too far with the 'Sherlock Holmes as sociopath' thing, also, but by and large I was pretty happy with the series. Did you read Watson's blog? ^_^

Congratulations on passing the qualification exam! I envy you so much right now. Hopefully I'll be there not so far from now. I'll sit and relax and calm down my inner envious self, considering I'll just be a graduate from next year on.

I hope you don't mind me friending you? Just been lurking around and I still feel kind of awkward posting random replies when I'm really just the weird fan out there. I'll shut up because I'm really just embarrassing myself.

Not yet. And I'll be an undergrad student for least one more semester. Will apply for grad school in a couple of years at least, need to make some money to be able to live abroad and all. I want to be there already though *laughs*
