Oh dear - hope the cough has gone, but whooping cough is more than possible - I had it three times in forty years - but, if it's any consolation, it doesn't seem quite so severe as time goes on -

I was very amused the first time I discovered that there was actually a Preston Guild and their parade really did happen at infrequent intervals. Until then I'd thought that, "once every Preston Guild" was just a figure of speech.

Were you looking out for the Preston Guild trade parade in particular ongoingly, or did you just happen to notice it was going to happen this time?
