She wasn't sure which sensation had more hold over her - the horrible burning pain in her right leg, the absolutely pounding migraine in her head, or the rolling nausea in her stomach.

It seemed that, as consciousness returned and awareness became tangible once more, the nausea won first, and the chance to take in her surroundings and situation was put on hold as she half sat up, half curled and emptied the limited contents of her stomach.

A cough and sob later, the salty mist on her face not just from sweat, Ilyana finally opened her eyes long enough to be treated to the sight of a long, devoid hall way tinged strangely in red from the light beyond a row of wide, tall bay windows. Whatever was beyond the courtyard that it looked in to was mostly obscured by the strange hue of the sky, its color and lack of proper illumination making things difficult to see distances.

Further observation was once again cut short by the fact that her leg reminded her of its presence as well as the inexplicable pain coursing through it. Inexplicable became explained when she turned and found a heavy ambulance gurney had been overturned on her calf, effectively pinning her to the ground.

"...Hex?" she croaked, a single tear escaping at the name.

"Hexan?!" she cried out louder when no response came. A swift look from side to side revealed that she was, indeed, completely alone, and no sign of her adopted brother could be seen.

Alone...

"HEXAN?!" she screamed out, ignoring how useless it was. A sob hitching in to a shriek of frustration and fear ripped from her and she began pushing desperately on the gurney, only serving to make it scrape along the ground, a high pitched and piercing sound echoing up and down the hall way along with her own noises. It rocked some, pushing more weight on to her bruised leg, and she could do little more than slump back against the wall and release it.

Her hands came to her soiled mouth, eyes squeezing closed as she wished the horrible place to go away, wished for her brother to be there, holding her and telling her everything was going to be alright, tears all the while slipping down en masse.

She remained this way for quite some time, rocking slightly against the wall, until she was able to pull a tiny thread of composure from deep inside and breathe deeply. This didn't stop her hands from shaking, nor did it stop her crying, but it was better than the full on break down moments earlier.

A shift of her body to make herself at least a tiny bit more comfortable, and make her other non injured leg stop tingling from sitting on it, provided an odd sensation in the single cargo pocket of her skirt. Though she did carry a cellular phone, whatever was in there along with it was much larger and heavier than her thin mobile. Blinking, she twisted and eventually tugged the odd item out. It looked like a hand held mobile, or possibly a Palm Pilot of sorts, though no brand nor normal numbers stood out to her. She turned it over in her hand a couple of time, thumb running over the smooth keys until one pressed finally brought a light to the screen.

Her attention was drawn away suddenly, though, when the silence of the hall revealed a strange noise above her head. It sounded almost like murmuring, like a human voice talking at a normal to slightly elevated volume. It seemed the complete emptiness of the place was the only reason she could even make out that much, and there was no way of knowing if it truly was another human being.

Still...she couldn't stay trapped under that damned gurney forever...
