Friendship and Fun

Well March break is over.  My family did not have any major plans as my husband had to work.  I had the week off to spend with my daughter, so we headed to Toronto to stay with good friends for a few days.  It all worked out wonderfully and we had so much fun generally catching up and going shopping.  My daughter was awed by the size of the malls ( Read more... )

Sounds like you had much fun, yay! Rainforest Cafe, so I'm guessing you went to Yorkdale? I think it's the only one left. You should tell your daughter that the West Edmonton Mall makes our malls look tiny. :)

Enjoy the Captain Jack goodness!

Yup - we did go to Yorkdale in our travels... I think my daughter would squee with little girly glee at the size of West Edmonton Mall -she's is a country girl after all...

I am itching to watch my CD's but am holding off till I get caught up with work & home stuff after being away. Then I shall indulge in solid hours of guilt free Captain Jack!

Hey, good to have you back! Online, that is. Next time you're in the city, you must let me know - I work next to lots of cool lunch spots. :)

Mmmmmm...Italian supermarket. (For that matter, mmmmmmm...Italian friend's cooking. I roomed with one of those a few years back, and the things that girl could do with olive oil and a dab of butter alone would make a grown foodie sob with joy.)

I've spent quite a lot of time at the Rainforest Cafe, owing to small nature-nut nephews. Gotta admit, the water features are really nifty.

So...it's official then, every single online friend I have is a Dr Who fan. [waves small white flag] Apparently I need to buckle down and pass an eye over an ep...right after I check out the Kalan Porter videos shing posted.

Oh, and speaking of online obsessions, did you ever end up downloading those Bob & Ray eps off my journal? If so, what'd you think?

Sorry to take so long to respond Shoe!

Funny thing about my Italian friend is that she doesn't actually cook much, her husband does most of it!

You definitely have to join in the Dr. Who/Torchwood love. Mind you it is the sort of thing you either love or hate.

Ben & Ray - Yes! I did download some eps... I thought they were funny, especially the sort of one line asides that are slipped in at random, I think one was "Everyone knows that a straight line between two points is geometric" - so bizarre but cracked me up..
