did you know if you write something and then mail it to yourself and not open in upon it's return to you, it's what's called a self copyright? yep, and it's legal too!

It's more common;y known as a poor man's copyright. They taught us about it in journalism back in the days when I went to college (and dinosuars roamed the earth ;) Anyway, I looked it up on Wiki and here's what they had to say. Seems like it couldn't hurt tho...

The writing news is awesome. The shipwreck is awesome! I envy you. Happy writing, I hope it keeps flowing. Every time I begin to write I realize how much I actually have to learn. But it's good. It's a very education process trying to write something and remain accurate and grammatically correct.

Yeah, you realize how much more you have to do than what you've done, but I think now I have confidence enough to do it anyway, even though I'll have to do a ton of studying and right now what I have is such a messy paragraph of ideas, it is fun though :)

Stacey, that ranch is amazing! Such gorgeous pictures (as usual).
Your book sounds so exciting, and your enthusiasm is inspiring and contagious.

thank you! I just gave up simply daydreaming and started writing things down, and after awhile things had a theme, and images multiply in my head everytime I see or learn somethihng else. It is easy to get discouraged because I have a farther way to go than I've gone, but better start now!

Tonight I got the book you sent. THANK YOU! Im reading through it with my cup of tea and Im getting SO excited. We wont be coming up there this week with my friend like I had planned because I didnt realize *just how far* you are from me. We are planning a trip up there in the summer when we both have time. I know Steven has been dying to go. Maybe we can meet up!

Haha I wondered if you realized it would be a good day of driving, or if you were even flying :) The good thing about going in the summer means the inland hikes would be sunny and hot enough to want to jump in the gorges around, right now it's freezing cold everywhere. But a lot of the coastal hikes would have views blocked in fog, at least until noon, otherwise things would be perfect, there is camping at Big Sur and Andrew Molera and if you go in May/June there are beautiful wildfloweres everywhere. The sooner you plan, the more you could fit in and don't forget about Santa Barbara county that's closer to you, there are lots of pretty places there too to hold you over :D It will be fun to hang out with you guys when you get here!
