[The room is dark at the edges, and full of red telephones. It looks as if the Countess was sitting in a rocking chair until recently, because there's one near the centre of the room which is still moving back and forth very slightly.
She approaches the table with the dusty equipment box on it, grinning broadly. Her teeth catch the light.]
What an interesting prospect. There may be several uses for this, dearie. ♥ Now then ~ you should know there is always time for you. I would be delighted to hear your question. ♥
[He opens the manual blowing the dust off the cover.] If scientists, normal humans at that, can forge it into weapons I don't see why we can't. Such a creation might become useful over time and not just for piece over the mantel.
[He hands her the book.] It is a question about balance I suppose? How do you manage to keep it all without losing what means most?
[As if to answer Tyki, one of the phones begins to ring, and the Countess turns her head for a moment - but then the ringing stops, and she turns back to Tyki to take the book. Tut, how hasty of the caller.]
As we know well, Innocence is a treacherous substance...and any use of it must be with great care. But it is not out of the question. [She flicks through the book as she talks.] Now, Tyki-pet, could you expand on what you mean of balance? ♥ I trust that you speak of your memories? ♥
[He almost snickers.] My, my point taken. Sure you don't need to take that. Perhaps it is the maintenance man.
It would be dormant. I doubt anyone here would become aligned with it even if we do manage to find a piece of Innocence or two. Besides, I imagine it will come in handy.
[He leans his back against the table's edge with his hands in his pockets.] Not exactly the memories, but they sure aren't helping the matter. What did you have to give up to become what you are? And I'm not counting the Fourteenth. The man dug his own grave after all.
