23 years ago my family and I left England on our way to live in New Zealand! I spent most of the journey sobbing my heart out on the plane. Thank goodness for free booze!

A month in, and other half still hasn't got a job. There are hardly any in the papers, but he must have applied for at least 40. And people don't even get back to you. Oh, my worst nightmare! Reporter and camera doing a fluff piece for the news, stop me on my way to work and ask dumb question. I think I spoke coherently, but god, I never want to be on TV in my life! I hope there is more news, and they don't use it. How embarrassing!

Started wearing a pedometer. Done over my allotted 10,000 steps each day on the weekend. The week will be harder. But a good way to get me back into it, and perhaps to the gym later this week.
