So I really want an ipod, but I don't want to and can't afford to pay such a huge amount for one...does anyone know any places that sell them used or new for inexpensive? Or does anyone have one sitting around that they don't use and want to part with?

I was searching craigslist and ebay and couldnt believe how much people wanted for a used one!!! I've been stalking radio stations that give them away, but no luck so far.

Hope you find one!! (Have you tried Craigslist in your area??)

I was planning on buying the Apple Ipod Shuffle 512MB at Best Buy or Target for $70 bucks. It stores up to 120 songs, so it's fine for me.

I LOVE my iPod. Seriously, it is the only non-person item (LOL) that I love. :)

I've had it for about a year. The Shuffle *is* a good option if you don't need to store more than 120 songs. AND if you do want to digitize more than 120, you can use iTunes to swap in/out music to/from your Shuffle. So the 120 can be mis-leading to some. It means you can have 120 songs at any given time on your Shuffle.

Caution about getting used ones: Some iPods have been know to just suddenly stop working. This has happened to several of my friends and my SIL. I haven't had any problems so far tho.
