oh yeah i'm surprised as well, don't you know some ppl call me "Blondefano" beacuse of my typical sicilian tone of skin and hair?
No, seriously, i'm pretty sure you've modified the colours on the map: basicly all the ppl from pugghie i know is quite dark... except for you, allright. :)
1. The presence of more blond Sicilians than one would think is known and documented (just one: Here, while this guy at the bottom of this forum says he thinks we're not even WHITE!)
2. light-haired and light-skinned Apulians are quite a lot. The majority is, surely, like my parents - so short I tower over them even with my miserable 1,70, and dark - but I've known many blond and fair Apulians, and natural redheads, like our Emperor was, are more common than you'd think too (shit! I wanted to be one!!!); seems to me Apulia is the second place I've seen more redheads after Holland, where they are endemic. We always say "it's the Normans" without believing it much, because it was so long ago, but there may be some truth to it. And after it was the Spanish and after it was the French, so we're quite a rainbow of invasions, rape and pillage, as is most of Italy...
