if someone refers to him/herself as "an artist", especially if this happens in the first ten minutes of conversation, I dearly really wish they'd suddenly die and reincarnate as a Victorian chimney sweeper with TBC or an Asian Nike sweatshop kid.

My version of Occam razor in these cases is: if you are still in school or can't live with it without being supported by someone else or working another job, it's a fucking HOBBY... ;-)
