After having jumped into the Water Dragon's mouth, she had managed to get the Dragon Orb along with the Fox Rods. Speaking with the Queen of Dragonaians, Otohime, it was revealed that the Fox Rods were a Dark Instrument. When Queen Himiko's attendant had come for them before, the Wolf Goddess didn't spare a second to hand them over. Even though Otohime spoke about the bad things that could happen, she simply said, "I hope the Queen's attendant is one to be trustworthy. All hope would be lost if it fell back into evil hands." Then, the Dragon Orb to which was hanging above the Queen's head began to glow, grabbing the attention of them. The wolf raised her head, watching as it spun a little and drifted to hold in front of them. To what looks like a tiny green bug resting on Amaterasu's head, he seemed just as alarmed. "Yikes! What's up with this thing!?" The Queen began to speak from her throne, "A revelation, perhaps... Perhaps King Wada wishes us to see something before he departs!" What that vision was only showed a dark creature chasing after the attendant Rao, causing the wolf and 'tiny bug' to already make for the doors.
They traveled all the way back to Sei-An City, running until they found themselves heading towards where Queen Himiko was safely hidden. However, when they arrived, they did not expect to see her lying on the ground..
"Huh? What the heck happened!? Hey, pretty lady! Himiko!" Amaterasu stepped closer, but they had already suspected what had happened. ".. .. She's.. ..She's .. dead.." The wolf Goddess turned her attention to another figure that stood nearby, the woman's hands shaking against her chest. "It was terrifying... A monster ten times my height appeared.. It destroyed the magical barrier and left Queen Himiko like that.." The wolf turned her head, the green man bouncing at the top as he asked, "Busty babe? Is that you? What monster are you talking about? That ginormous thing that attacked you at Ankoku temple?" It seemed Issun's words weren't getting through to her, she kept muttering to herself, "I'm... I'm scared now... The evil beings we must defeat to save the people in the city... Their leader is such a might beast! No human could stand up to it! Our feeble mortal resistance is futile!" Issun only seem to growl, "Dang it! Himiko said she'd be OK as long as she had that crystal ball. So how the heck did this happen!? Hey, Ammy, why d'ya keep staring at the busty babe? Himiko's dead! Aren't you the least bit sad?"
Amaterasu's eyes never left Rao, watching her when the two spoke. That was when the wolf's stance suddenly went into offense, lowering to the ground as a snarl rippled from her chest, baring fangs at Rao in the most threatening fashion while proceeding to growl.
"What's wrong, Ammy?!"
"Amaterasu? What are you doing?"
"Down, Ammy!"
Just as Amaterasu had figured, Rao was not the real Rao. Instead, it was a dark creature in disguise. The so-claimed 'Dark Lord', the one who ruled over the Coast. Feeling threatened at Amaterasu seeking to find the whereabouts of the Dark Lord's Oni Island it sought to destroy all ties. The Sun Goddess and Dark Lord broke into battle, ending shortly as Ammy defeated her if only for a split moment before being tossed aside. For it was simply a 'taste' of power, nothing close to what it could unleash. Amaterasu had allowed the Dark Lord to slip away. The display of evil sent chills down the wolf's spine. Amaterasu and Issun were left to wallow in overwhelming sadness. Himiko had remained steadfast in her quest to find Oni Island. In the end, she lost her life at the hands of the Dark Lord. With Himiko died all clues to the location of Oni Island. Amaterasu and Issun were left with nary a shed of hope. Giving up on their quest seemed the only option...
That's when they noticed that the blood caked crystal ball spewed forth by the Dark Lord clearly displayed an image of Himiko. Issun, doubting his eyes, listened intently as Himiko began speaking. She explained that Oni Island would not be easy to find and that she had determined to become ethereal and enter the crystal ball herself in search of clues. She had allowed herself to be consumed in order to use the Dark Lord's power. She was also aware that the Dark Lord now posessed the Fox Rods. All was planned. Himiko's will infused the crystal ball with great power. The fortress housing the dark forces materialized. Oni Island appears only at sunset in a certain location. The place revealed by the crystal ball was none other than a spot just off the northwest shore of Ryoshima Coast, near the spot known as Watcher's Cape. Oni Island would appear again at Watcher's Cape at the next sunset. A small glimmer of hope returned to our heroes' hearts. Just as the image of Oni Island faded from the crystal, a deep crack appeared and split Himiko's image. She had paid the ultimate price for manipulating the dark power. The crystal itself had been spent. The destiny of Himiko's very soul had been inextricably intertwined with that of the crystal ball. A burst of blinding light heralded the crystal's demise. Himiko's soul was caught up in the shattered fragments... and drifted serenely toward the heavens above, even as she prayed fervently for Amaterasu's safe passage.
Now, the duo began to make way for Oni Island. With the help of Queen Otohime, who used the Dragon's Orbs' power to transform herself into a dragon, she made a passage fro Amaterasu that broke into the Island's barrier. Traveling around the island, she ran on further and further, battling evil spirits and demons as she fought her way to the top. She ended up running into what looked like a simple piece of paper, but it was actually the Gatekeeper known as Tobi, keeping all unwanted guests out. Though, he lay out an offer, that if she would race him through some of the Labyrinth's passages, he may just let her through. Of course, the passages themselves allowed the pair to go further into the Island. Going throguh some liek the Passage of Demonic Wheels, Passage of Needles and etc, it seems far too impossible for humans and any normal person. However Amaterasu managed to speed through them without a break of sweat. Tobi was far more impressed by her. Continuing on,
they stumble upon what looks to be a tiger statue, bearing a bow but no arrow. Using a brush to add on the arrow, it shoots off into the distance in a powerful blow, seeming to attract thunder to itself much as though it was a lightning bolt! Shooting off into the sky, it cleared all the dark clouds away to reveal a group of stars.
The wolf already knew what to do and expected none other than another Brush Technique God. This time, it was Gekigami, God of Thunder who was that of a large tiger. After the brief encounter and talk, she finally obtained another technique to add to her collection, a reminder of something she once knew. Yet, it was Issun's words that rang out the most. " ... ... Ammy.. There's only one more of those Celestial Brush Techniques to go. Once you get that one... I will have seen all the techniques. Won't be much longer now. ... ... But this is no time to shoot the breeze! We should get goin', furball!" He was obviously troubled by the thought, his words sounding like he was dreading for the end of their time spent together to come to an end. They have grown attached to another in a way, over this journey. But they put worries aside and moved on, their goal right now was to find the Dark Lord and take revenge for what it had done to the Queen.

[The Dreamberry focuses on Amaterasu, curled up in her room at the Dojo, switching from growls into silence. That was until she woke up, immediately looking around with ears perked and body alert. A confused whine left her, looking around once again before shaking her fur as though expecting something to fall out. When nothing happened, she slowly lowered to lay down, eyes peering out the wooden doors in which were open and revealing the outside. A certain look in her eyes, before she breathed out and lowered to lay her muzzle upon her paws.
Before she begins to roll around and kick her legs.]
