Burkina Faso! I go to my staging area (TBD) on June 8th, and then on June 11th I fly to Ouahigouya, one of the larger cities in northern Burkina Faso. On August 30th, I will begin my assignment, teaching science in a secondary school. In French.

(You might have already checked this out, but I wanted to leave a comment so other people on your friends list could see.) According to the Postage Price Calculator, it'll cost us $0.90 per regular letter we send you, but delivery time "varies." For $49.95 (and the joy of filling out a customs form), we can send you (up to) a 20 lb. package (books or Moon Pies or whatnot) as long as it fits in a 12x12x6 box-prices go up if it's bigger, of course. Delivery is estimated in 6-10 business days, though I assume that means to the nearest post office.

FedEx to Ouagadougou-I have no idea how close to there you'll be, but of the two choices the FedEx site gave me, it was the one I'd heard of-is about $446.70 to get it there in 9 days. Guess I won't be sending you anything FedEx.
