Everyone keeps secrets. Sure! There are those who claim to be open books, people who will tell you that you can literally "ask me anything", but "anything" surely has its limits. We all have parts of our lives and our selves that we would rather not reveal. There are some things best left unrevealed ( Read more... )

I used to be cagey about folks seeing the pentagram on our altar, but I realized quickly that nobody even noticed it. And anything on it that didn't want to be touched didn't get touched.

Not sure how that works, but I like it.

I like it too, and wish it would work for me. It seems everyone who comes in contact with my altar needs to touch something on it. They can't be content just to look, and it drives me insane.

I think it's only human nature to keep some things to ourselves. I'm all for being open, but, honestly, that only extends so far.

When we were moving here, we had someone else pack our things for us, but I took the liberty in wrapping up the sex toys so he didn't know we had them... then later discovered he'd unwrapped my package to see what was inside (presumably because he needed to know what else to pack in the same box/label it). Freaked me out to no end!

I have friends who tidy before the cleaning lady comes in because they don't want to be seen as slobs.

Lol. My friend does that. She does dishes, cleans off the counter, etc. It amuses and baffles me equally.
