Of course dying doesn't bother John. You don't sign up for the army and go on active duty (a tour to Afghanistan, no less) withough accepting the fact you might not come back.

Cute little bit here.

BTW, "pissed" doesn't have the same connotation in Britain. One cannot be "pissed off" in London, though one can be "pissed", ie very, very drunk.
