O-Ding on Rum and Valerian. Energy of a nuclear bomb.

Mike came down for the weekend, we have developed a wonderful knack of him visiting right when I'm in final PMT stage. It was quite nice to have him here though as I had a night of wibbliness and peering at my own vulnerability and fears about it. Plus the first day of seeing him always throws me for a loop; I don't know what it is about the boy ( Read more... )

If she says that thing about nuclear bombs again, please do her a favour and quash it.

I know enough healers to have great respect for their tradition of openness and sensitivity. With care and wisdom (which they usually have in spades), it brings out the most wonderful qualities of a person. I think it's wonderful that you're padding away down that path. But the path of openness is close to that of credulity, and unbridled sensitivity can stray into fancifulness, and when someone starts making that kind of clueless statement about nuclear bombs, they've set at least a toe from a good path to a bad one.

point definitely taken - and obviously I didn't take that comment literally - it actually made me laugh at the thought of it, such a random thing to come out with..still I'll ask her more about where she got that from when I actually meet up next.

I am positive you will make a great go of massage on your own. The first part is to find places in which to offer it, and the next thing is to advertise, as it really helps get your name out there. That can be as easy as flyers at the places you go to anyway, and small things like I do in which for each new client that is referred to you, the person who referred that person gets $10 off their next session, since they just brought you more business, and likely repeat business. I am so excited for you! Also business cards are a HUGE help, and just bring them with you wherever you go and ask if you can leave some with the folks you have conversations with at stores and things. I have left cards at the grocery store, the laundromat, the bank. And my clients are wonderful taking cards and giving them to all their friends. If it gets them onto your website, then half your work is done already, and you WILL see returns eventually. So just keep doing the small easy (and cheap) things like that, and it will pay off. You are a great ( ... )
