Just wondering: What does "Going Munchkin" mean?

I have a decent idea, but just want to make sure.

I've played Munchkin, and I don't really know what the statement means.

'Munchkins' as a Roleplaying term refers to overly competitive characters in a non - competitive setting. It is related to 'Twinks', which are characters overly optimized for a certain function, and Min/Maxers, who reduce the stats they do not value to their lowest value to afford more points for the values they want to max out - often stats related to combat.

This article answers most of the terms very well. Munchkin, the game, takes this position to the hilarious extreme, turning the party into a competitive group to race to kill the most monsters and get the most stuff.
