I don't know.

Just read that in someone's online survey. It was listed in response to 'top 3 things that annoy you' or 'top 3 things that you hate.' House will not be on again until January 9th. By that time, I'm sure my House-watching buddy will be MIA. Sucks ( Read more... )

Some may consider enlisting in such as just putting off the inevitable
what ever, it's not like you have some grand plan or anything. this is a good chance for you to network with other people and figure out a different direction for your life. as it is right now you don't feel satisfied with your current situation. do americorps for a year see what you like, what you don't like. why work your self to the bone feeling in a rut? Would you stay in Michigan?

No. I think, at least in equal part with other things, if not primarily, the draw of this is to get out of Michigan for a while. Experience another environment. Get my feet wet. Etc.

I'm looking into programs in NY, CA, WA, Chicago, and a few others. Part of the thought is really scary, too, though. My friend is looking into it as well, but his friend is kind of tagging along with him, so he has someone to weather the change with. That would be a more ideal situation, but, you know, I guess you just have to do things for yourself sometimes, even if it is scary and uncomfortable because it is different. On the upside, there's a lot of excitement embodied in it, and I AM in a rut, so the prospect of doing something, anything different of substance is really appealing right now.
