Writer's Block: Legends of Rock

Dec 06, 2008 21:12

i suppose the only show i've ever seen that could be called legendary was the first time i saw Tori Amos...it was at the State Theater in Detroit, 1994, the second night of her shows there - everything was *perfection* - i've seen her 20 or so times since, and that still stands out as the best performance i've ever witnessed.

concerts, music, writer's block

There have been a few, but Nina Simone on the pier in Seattle August, 1998 was monumental.

you guys need to haul your pretty asses to GA sometime. we'd love to have you come and visit...and we're only an hour from Atlanta, with all the weird shit I've been involved with up there lately, there would be a LOT of stuff to do, I'm sure

OMG HAI!

I still think you should see a Sigur Ros show...regardless of what you think of their music beforehand...it's the most amazing concert I have ever been to.
