ha ha, i got to see Handsome Boy Modeling School tonight and you didn't. ha ha ha ha ha ha. plus i met Prince Paul and Dan the Automator, and Prince Paul said that i made a good choice in alcohol (Jamaican Red Stripe) and that he liked my scarf (khefiye.) I heard beck's new cd is only medium, so I haven't bothered with it yet. What's your rating? It's hard for me to beleive beck is medium.

i can only talk about beck's new cd in comparison to his others-- because he is in such an interesting realm, you could never use a star system and just compare him to other new records that are out on the shelves.

alright, here is my percentage system of personal taste of beck's records (that i own:)

Odelay 85%
Mutations 90%
Midnite Vultures 98%
Sea Change 99%
Guero 89%

i'm sad to say, i was a teeny-bit disappointed. i think only because "Sea Change" was so unexpected and haunting and spooky, that i expected the same kind of happenings with this one-- but it sounds more like an updated and slightly more funky "Odelay." but he does rap in spanish!!

That's pretty much the review I heard before, only the other person liked Odelay more so was just like "wtf is this rehash." I'll try and download some, rap in spanish is worth it.

a good decision, i'm sure.

still, beck's song from the "eternal sunshine" soundtrack was so FUCKING phenomenal, i think that it will cover any mistakes he makes in sound in the next while. i saw him perform it at coachella last spring, and i melted instantly.

how about you just plan on coming to see the raveonettes at neumos??? it's all-ages, and it's only the second time they have played here... they are the pride of denmark, and surely worth a trip down. plus, we could go out to dinner and stuff-- and i could take you to cool bars where you won't be carded and will enjoy tasty delights.

anyway, go to www.ticketswest.com, and i think they might have info about the raveonettes show.

so, i'm totally buying tickets ASAP. i don't know what could possibly be a better use of my existence in this world, or what could be as H-O-T as spending the evening with a certain Rosemary Tran watching an amazing show with the slight chance of getting intoxicated from illegaly drinking. Minor gives a holla! I'll let you know closer to the date when I'll be meandering into your neighborhood. And by neighborhood I mean crotch. Whoops! Did I just say that?
