Remembering My Past: Journey in Weight Loss

I'm begining to feel conflicted about my weight loss: I've always owned the weight I am since I started gaining weight after high school. The biggest I'd ever been was 235 and I was miserable. I'm definitely more comfortable at this under 200 weight, as I know a lot of bigger girls are comfortable at their plus size weight. I see so many things ( Read more... )

I have been losing weight as well in the last year or so and I have had similar feelings. The truth is, I feel MORE confident than before and I didn't think that was possible. I felt pretty good being a plus size girl, but now I feel like restrictions have been lifted from me. It's an amazing feeling being able to shop _anywhere_. I don't have to HUNT something down. I can walk into Forever 21 and not feel weird about. I can shop for things besides jewelry and shoes. It's a convenience that I didn't realize I was missing out on. Additionally, though this part is kind of crappy if you think about it, people are way more responsive/nice/attentive to you than when you are plus size. It sucks but I have noticed a huge difference with the way people interact with me. It also confidence building, but yes, kinda dick ( ... )
