❖ MOON CYCLE 76 ❂ 07/30/11 - 08/07/11

Phase: One-fourth waxing.

Weather: Warm temperatures, clear skies, and gentle cool breezes. One would never have guessed that the nightmareish chaos that had hit Somarium was only a week ago.

Effects: No particular effect this week, however characters may find their dreams calming and even soothing. Perhaps a nice memory or something they're looking forward to. The colored light will be pink.

Notes: Event is over! Officially! ...Backdated but over! Shifting things around a bit from what was originally planned, but it should all work out. Now that the details of how the event is over, here are a few extra things to note:
  • Don't forget Activity Check. We've extended it to Friday, August 5, so don't forget to comment to it if you haven't already. Danger List should be up later tonight.

  • Cleaning up the mess. Well there's still quite a mess from the recent not!zombie rampage that needs cleaning up. Blood and gore and whatnot. Fortunately most of it is within the Industrial District and dark alleyways. Apparently any bloody areas that were in public areas were quickly cleaned up overnight. Various NPC and military personnel will be seen hosing off and repairing anything that was damaged, which there isn't much of.

  • Barrier fixed and reinforced. As indicated by the signal post, the barrier has been revamped and stronger than ever. Or at least that's what they say. It's still invisible so it's hard to really notice. At least that tear is gone.

  • Military NPCs staying put. If anyone thought or hoped those annoying military NPCs would leave after this, they will be sorely disappointed. It looks like they're setting up camp around the outer boundaries of the city. Good news they won't bother anyone as much. They may still give the dirty looks and snide remarks, but for the most part they just carry on with their business.

  • So about those crystals. If anyone actually kept theirs, they can still have it though how it works will remain a mystery...until Friday.

  • Truth revealed? Another NPC post will go up Friday, as well as a rather large update to the Records. Expect some much needed information to be handed over and explained over the course of the month as we gear up for the September events.

  • Still waters. As indicated by the signal post, all the monsters that used to be in that giant whirlpool are now gone. Even the black color is starting to change to look a little more normal. Not even the desert monsters seem to want to go near it, as if knowing there's just "something not right" about it. Characters can of course investigate and even try to swim in it if they so desire. Nothing bad will happen. Those "Nessie" lookalikes are nowhere to be found, and it's actually safe to swim in. There's nothing in it.

But if anyone is capable for deep sea swimming, they'll only be able to go 50ft (15.24 meters) before suddenly hitting an invisible wall. It looks like it goes deeper, but there some invisible barrier blocking it. The waters will be murky, but it also looks like there's something shining down there. Way down there.

And that's all! Sorry for the delay. Since we're still in that "weird" phase because of LJ being down, everything that was originally planned is being shifted and broken up into smaller pieces so everyone can take it all in easier. As always, backdated logs and threads are totally fine, and I will eventually stop spamming the community with all these mod posts.

As always, questions/comments are welcome!
