Having missed the awesome landing, Lara turned the corner of a building, her head down, eyes locked on the small list of items she thought she might need to explore the ruins with Nathan later that week. From she had heard, monsters encounters were frequent and she had gone to the shopping district to get more first aid supplies. Apparently, Drake had a knack for getting injured.

Almost crashing into the suit, the Tomb Raider sidestepped in time to evade the collision. She gave the gold and red suit a long look over, a delicate eyebrow arching slowly as her mouth curled into a small smirk. Bryce would have loved that costume, that's for sure.

"They're doing Sci-Fi convention now?"

Lara supposed it was only fair to the more geeky residents of this world, since the romantic ones had their Renaissance Faire a week ago.

Under the mask, Tony grinned and JARVIS sighed because Tony always landed on his feet and landing on his feet here meant that there was a very attractive woman giving the suit a look over. There might have been a little swagger (as much as the Iron Man suit allowed him) in his walk over to her where he lifted the face piece up to grin at her, arching his own eyebrow in turn.

"I wouldn't have any idea but if there is one I'd love to see how they recreated the suit because it's not that easy. You know, unless you're me." A smug grin spread across his face as he folded his arms. "Tony Stark, you might know me as Iron Man too but they're one and the same and it's an absolute pleasure to meet you."

There was a small look of surprise that passed over Lara's feature as the man pushed back his visor. Though she had only seen him in Bryce's comics, it was easy for her to recognize him. Though the drawings did not managed to catch how truly handsome the man was. And that was only by looking at his face ( ... )

While he might not have the dexterity to actually dial anyone on the Dreamberry (surely that was a lawsuit just waiting to happen) he was able to shake hands and if he'd been in a normal suit or normal clothing, he might have kissed it but he was undeniably sweaty right now having come from kicking Vanko's ass.

"Yeah, woke up on a roof which isn't too surprising considering I was on a roof back in Flushing Meadows. Only I was with people and I was sober and it's not like I was in any danger of passing out. Mind filling me in Lara?" He added a charming grin to the end of his little ramble because it never hurt to be nice to a lady and she had an accent and accents like that always meant good things.

"Not at all", she replied with another smile as she retrieved her hand from the mechanical glove he was wearing.

She was starting to find it amusing that she managed to be the welcome committee for handsome men coming to Somarium. It was a little tiring to always repeat the same thing, to always see the same expression of astonishment and disbelief, but when the face was easy to look at like Tony's, Lara could certainly make an exception.

"I'm sure you've already noticed, but you're not in your world anymore. This place is called Somarium. Apparently it's a dreamworld we come to when we either fall asleep, get knocked out or die. It's different for everyone. And as far as I know, there is no way to consciously wake up from this 'dream'."

She stopped there for a moment, letting the new knowledge sink in and waited for specific questions, in case Tony had any.

Tony nodded, thinking that through for the moment before making a note to have JARVIS do a full scan of the area later, probably at night because he'd be harder to see and the suit was fairly quiet so he could get out and about without people seeing him and asking questions as he figured this place out.

"And what if neither of those three things just happened to us? I was mid-conversation telling my buddy that he needed to get his own damn roof," he was most likely going to be owed a medal too. For bravery because they still didn't give them out simply for being goddamn awesome. "Right, no way to wake up. From a dream? You realise that sounds crazy, right? I mean, I'm sure you do, you look like a perfectly rational," and smoking hot, "woman but it really does sound like the premise of a terrible movie. But okay, I'll bite, what's with the cell phone? It says Dreamberry, I'm sure Blackberry will be happy to take them to court and sue them on several varying grounds."

"Like I said, it is different from one person to another. The workings of this world are not very well understood, and the natives from here are not very useful in spreading out information ( ... )

"You know bribing people? That still works great where I'm from along with a charm offensive." Would he try that? Yes, yes he would. If he was going to be here a while he'd need some sort of outlets for harmless entertainment and harrassing the locals for info would probably work pretty well until it lost its novelty.

"So what it's some sort of shared dream experience? And you asked me if I was going to a sci-fi convention when it sounds like we're stuck in the plot of some made for TV movie." But what she said about getting out was reassuring because it meant that it was possible, totally possible and well, string theory was good for the soul so he could try to do some sort of math. Maybe. He'd probably need to get drunk before he tried that one and find a few people to drunkdial about the experience ( ... )

Tony's narcissism would probably lead to him ending up with one very bruised ego when people didn't know and/or didn't care who he was and it was debatable which he'd find worse and more personally offensive ( ... )

"Unfortunately you did miss it. It was entertaining enough, although I'm sure there be plenty other festivals happening over the summer that will be a valid reason to ogle ladies, Tony" she said with a small smirk ( ... )

"I'm hurt, you don't know me, I could really want to make myself historically accurate armour and go carve medieval soap with someone at the same time I drank overpriced coffee and ate a corndog." No but really, Tony would be there for the breasts because the asses and legs were hidden by those renaissance dresses ( ... )

"Oh, but your reputation precedes you, Tony" she laughed softly. While she would always half follow Bryce's rambling about his favorite comic books heroes, she had listened enough to know that this 'Tony Stark' was a playboy. Not that she minded, she did handle some of this type in her past after all ( ... )

"Really?" The raise of his eyebrows, the shift of his hips and the raising of one side of his mouth meant: please, do tell me. It'd be nice to hear exactly what she'd heard whether it be through a magazine or something the way he assumed it would be. He couldn't keep track of all his spreads now could he? That wasn't his job. Unless they were memorable and some were, very much so ( ... )

His tone and demeanor made her smile and she nodded once: "Really. Although, I am sure it's nothing new to you." Lara wasn't sure it was safe to let the man know he simply was a character from a comic book in her world and so she chose to keep to herself for now. No doubt she wasn't the only one that knew him that way, but she didn't want to be the one telling. If there was a soul cruel enough to do such, then so be it, but she wouldn't be that person ( ... )

"Well, I lose track of the magazine articles, whatever's on the news - television and print media - and you know, there's the internet." Pepper handled all that crap and Happy sort of helped steer him through it but there was rarely a day that went by without him being harangued into doing something he didn't want to do.

"If I have any plans for that," which he would, "You'll be the first woman I'll call."

Not that he really knew many women here. Yet.

"You're just going to have to find out for yourself then." And she was certainly welcome to try which was why he'd waited until he'd said that before he addressed the toolkit situation. "That eager to undress me already? And I thought you British ladies were all demure and mannerly."

He knew better. Models came from all over the globe, just like feisty journalists.
