[After I stopped laughing at the sentence 'Train is training'...
Armstrong remembered quite well talking with Train after his sleep coma, and later on he found out that the boy worked on the police force as well. Terms like SWAT were non-existent in his world, but he soon found out that it meant something along the lines of 'special forces'. Who would have thought that someone so young was so gifted?
When he spots the youngster training not too far away from him, he can't help but feel a little bit proud. To him, it's always nice to see someone dedicating itself to get better.
He stops punching the bag for a moment to wave at Train, a sympathetic smile on his face.
[I know right? I laughed writing that down when I was making his app to put down as notes for his bio.
Train considered working on his aim again, but it seemed that his training here would be different from back home. Armstrong would probably dislike what he used to do if he knew. He pretty much knew how to hold & use a pistol by the time he was probably 10. Since the series never specified how old he was. He did appear to be about 8-10, though. He became the top Eraser in Chronos in no time.
Those were dark days of his life. He wasn't particularly proud of those days. He did his best for retribution of the lives that he stole those dark days. He would have thrown Hades away a long time ago if he hadn't had unfinished business. He actually tried giving it to Saya for her to keep, but she gave it back to him.
He didn't notice Armstrong right away, but after a while, he noticed the smile. He gave off a slightly blank look, but he simply nodded to him after it and continued on.]
[So, Armstrong quickly notices that Train isn't really the smiling kind. Not exactly a problem, It isn't like he was surrounded by smiling faces back home. In fact, Hughes was probably the only one that was constantly beaming and cheering all the time.
And, as much as he didn't approve of violence and, yes, Train's job would make him go a little bit weary and, maybe, lecture the boy on how pacifism is the way to go, Armstrong would certainly respect his decision and let him go his way. He never was the kind to force his beliefs down people's throats anyway. Still, just knowing that Train was trying to change his ways would be enough consolation for the alchemist.]
Good day to you Train. [Armstrong says in his usual happy tone of voice, watching the boy continue with his training.]
[He does at times, but he's just a little awkward around people he doesn't really know too well. Of course, interactions with Armstrong was helping a bit and he doesn't mind talking to the man.
OF course, he was doing his best to turn over a new leaf. Really, he may have still had the skills he had as an Eraser, but he had nearly forgotten about the way he thought when he was still in Chronos. He nodded to Armstrong, giving him a small grin.]
You too, Armstong. I've noticed you joined the police force recently. [He's trying to be social for once xD]
Ah, yes. I needed something to keep my mind busy. I admit this place was giving me too much free time to think about things I didn't want to. [Like, what the hell is happening back home and how was he ever going to help everyone out if he couldn't even figure out what was up.]
I was surprised that you are in the police force as well Train. It's quite the achievement for someone so young. [Reminds him of the Elrich brothers.]
I guess that makes two of us then. Aside from that, I'm used to working everyday just to get money for my milk, food, and sheltering. Here I don't really have to worry about that.
[He had to shrug to the achievement comment. After Chronos, it really wasn't too difficult.]
I've had plenty experience, though some of it I can't say I'm proud of.
We aren't always proud of what we have to do. [Yeah. War of Ishval. Not proud of that at all. But he had to do it.]
It's important not to let those things hinder us though. If we made mistakes, the least we can do is avoid making them again. [Armstrong can be serious and pretty wise, when he isn't distracted by his overwhelming emotions that is.]
No point in looking back in my past, but that's not something to just forget, either.
[His times with Saya made him think that way and when she had told him he could forget about her, he never wanted to. He felt forgetting about her would be like running away from his problems.]
That's true. The past sometimes hold things that are dear to us. Not to mention that it teaches us some good lessons. [He says, while he can't help but wonder why Train is just so... quiet and somewhat distant. He can't help but wonder what exactly happened in his life to make him act like that.]

[He can get to know that over time if they get closer, but that may take a while.]
