Barnaby wasn't particularly religious, nor spiritual. Not one to be comfortable with the idea of putting faith in anything but himself, and what he had to do, churches were seldom places he chose to frequent. In fact, they sometimes left him with the suspicion that more harm than good would be done. They made him think of funerals, and that was enough to steer him away

And that was fantastical, not to mention unsettling - but Barnaby sighed, resigned. "This place is twisted."

"No it isn't, it's a dream world, I imagine this is a much more... calm place than actually expected for a normal dream."

He opened his mouth to automatically argue, but it didn't come. Because he had to admit, Somarium was infinitely more calm than his dreams tended to be. His voice came a little softer when he answered.

"You might be right."

She knew she was right.

"It... doesn't really get twisted all that often. Honestly, now that everyone knows that Somarium is just another big city on a planet... well... I wonder why no one has tried to get to the other cities."

"I suppose the setting might be off-putting. The desert seems to stretch quite far. On top of that, we've been kept fairly busy here, with the information we're being given."

"England is far from India but that certainly never stopped anyone."

"But we're not quite as organized as that, are we? I suppose some of us have been here for a long time, but setting up something like that could still be time-consuming, especially when we have no idea what we'd find."

"But we know there are other cities, and it can't be that much different from here... especially if Somarium once was a very big city before... whatever it had been. I wasn't really there for that though, when Somarium was in shambles. Somarium fixed itself right up by the time I had arrived!"

"All the same, is it wise to go exploring for new places when we're still trying to learn more about things in general?" She had a point, and he considered it, tilting his head. "It seems as though we've only started learning, here."
