Trapped in a Nightmare

[ Well this was so not how things were meant to go. This would make the third time Harry's faced down a noctaere and really he's not looking forward to it.

[ He fumbles for his wand for a moment thankful that he's had the past experience, but the creature looks less than worried. ]

[Have one white haired boy clad in white cape with black claw and a monochromatic masquerade mask over his face, Crown Clown lashing out protectively at the beast.]

[ The creature moves back and hisses at Allen. The fringe around it's neck expands making it look bigger than it really is. Long fangs snap in agitation, but it doesn't appear as if it's going to back down anytime soon. ]

Allen!

[ For a moment Harry doesn't recognize his friend. He doesn't have much time to comment however as the beast lunges for the white haired boy again. ]

Your new friend doesn't seem all that eager to go home. Are you alright?

[Not taking his eye off of the creature who at the moment is content to try moving to the side to flank Allen and Harry the moment the opening presents itself.]

[ Wand now at the ready, he too is watching the creature warily. He really does hate these things. ]

Yeah, I'm fine. This isn't the first time I've dealt with these things.

[ Though considering how many there are he may be out of his league. ]

That's a relief. I can't say I've run into this particular type.

[He eyes the lurking creature that doesn't stop prowling. Maybe if he were to lash at it again...and he does just that only for the beast to jump nimbly to the side.]

It's not exactly dumb is it?

No not exactly.

[ He fires a spell at it as it tries to lunge again. The red sparks singe it's skin and it snaps it's jaws in Harry's general direction. ]

Be careful. You can kill it by hitting that thing on it's forehead, but it's not going to be good for you if you do.

[He's going to frown at that warning before morping the Clown Belt into a set of spears and throwing them at the creature. This time the monster lunges forward while dodging and tries to run at Allen.]

Why is that?!

[Is all he has time to say before trying to wrap two more Clown Belts around its hind legs.]

Reducto!

[ The curse hits the creature, instantly it disintegrates into ash. ]

Because, hitting that thing kills it instantly but you'll see your worst nightmare.

[ And depending on how bad that nightmare is it can be crippling. ]

[He's not going to hide the surprise at the creature dissolving into ash. But they are in a warzone now so it doesn't last long. A few of the combatants seem to note their brief skirmish. Thankfully they still seem more intent on killing each other than dealing with the two odd looking boys that just popped into existence.]

That's a clever trap. Then I guess this is going to be a long day. Have you seen anyone else from the group?

No I haven't.

[ He hoped his own friends had the sense to stay out of all this, but somehow he had a feeling anyone else who hadn't was now stuck here as well. ]

We should try and find someplace safe.

[So Harry was in the same boat. Well no time to brood on things. Shelter was actually a good idea.]

Agreed. Preferably some kind of sturdy building and spacious enough to shelter the others should we manage to get in contact with them.

Sounds like a good plan.

[ He looks around the area. Most of the buildings are certainly worse for where, but a few of the taller buildings don't look as if they've had too much damage. ]

Over there! Cmone on!

[ He takes off towards the building. As if sensing their attempted escape the noctaere rush at the two boys. ]

[Allen notices the motion behind him and grabs his left wrist to change his arm into it's sword form. At least that is the intention. Allen feels something is wrong right away and the fact that his arm is still a black claw stands as further proof.]

[Cursing under his breath he charged up his claw until several rows of energy rings formed around each tallon. All the while he didn't stop running though he made sure to put himself between Harry and the beasts.]

[Once he considered the power build up complete he lashed out with a vicious swipe in the direction of the Noctaere sending five whips riddled with those energy rings, straight at the bodies and limbs of the Noctaere, mostly intending to prove that chasing them would only be a waste of time for them.]

[ Harry wasn't going to complain about the help, but it worried him that Allen kept putting himself between the creatures and him. He fired more curses at the creatures to keep them at bay. The early fate of their comrades didn't seem to bother them however. ]

Tenacious buggers aren't they?

[He looked around trying to see if perhaps they could lead the Noctaere through a group of the opposing factions. If this weren't nothing but a presentation from the past, he would have misgivings about such a tactic. That aside they didn't have the luxury to worry about people long dead right now.]
