Trapped in a Nightmare

Sep 20, 2011 19:06

It had been about half an hour since the group who had volunteered (and not volunteered) to join the dreamscape first arrived into the setting Sylvani provided. Though they could not see her, they could at least hear her voice. She had explained to them that this was one of the major battles between the more powerful dreamwalkers and the invading ( Read more... )

[Flora had only come to find out more about this place and what happened to it, but this was not something she was expecting. She didn't want to hurt them, that she already knew as she raised her hand.]

Winx Enchantix!

[With her transformation into the fairy of nature, Flora held out her hand.]

I'm not going to harm you, just going to make sure you don't hurt anyone. Luxurious Ivy!

[The spell of green sparkles fell from her hand down to the ground as green ivy started to wrap around it's oncoming prey as she flew up in the air slightly, keeping an eye on the vines.]

Oh, I hope it holds.

[The first thing he'd done had been check his dreamberry, check Kotetsu, and leave a message, a warning. He hadn't known if it'd get through, but it was worth a shot, right?

With the creatures oncoming, he readies a kick, lashing out at the first that comes close to him. It's not lethal, but it's effective enough in forcing it backwards. Reminded of that time in the industrial district, he grits his teeth - but he can't use his hundred power, not yet.

Another kick, and then he comes aware that the noctaere beside his own assailant are being bound in place by plants of all things. Eyes widening, he looks back over his shoulder to the one responsible.]

I think they're pretty intent on hurting people.

[Flora flew over to where she had binded the creatures looking at them before looking over at the one who spoke to her.]

Then I'll try my best to be able to keep them binded.

[Up she flew again as she unleashed the spell again, aiming this time at a completely different set of monsters as she landed once more, happy with her work so far.]

I think I might be getting use to this form of mine.

[As she let out a slight chuckle it appeared as if one of the monsters managed to make it's way free.]

[Though he was used to flashy costumes and strange abilities, seeing that still grabbed his attention for a moment. And it was useful, he wasn't about to deny that - the press of the monsters around them wasn't quite so urgent now. But Barnaby wasn't about to let his guard down, and his approach was a little more direct. At the sight of one beginning to struggle a bit too furiously in its bonds, he lunged forward, leg sweeping in another kick.]

Do you know anything about these? Weaknesses we might use?

[She looked over, spell at the ready to tie them more up if needed, since that's all she really could do in terms of her new spells, she still wasn't used to her Enchantix form. When she was asked about weaknesses all she could do was shake her head, aiming a spell at one that as trying to get out.]

I don't, I haven't been here long enough to really understand them, or if they have weaknesses.

[Frustrating, but understandable - Barnaby was in the same position himself. In the meantime, this seemed to be working. His next kick brought an audible crunch, and he was pleased to hear it if only because it meant his attacks were doing something.]

Most aren't strong, but they're fast - [He takes a swipe at another, leaping to avoid an attack.] - and there are plenty of them.

[Flora is going to keep trying to tie them up with her magical weeds as best as she can, although she does notice some are harder to bind than others.]

You're right about them being too fast, some of them can't even be bind because of that. It makes it much harder.

[The ones that get free of her bindings are the ones he makes his priority, his attacks quick and sure. Without her there, he's aware how easily he could be overwhelmed.]

We need to try and move away from here - if we can't find our way back to Somni, we need to get to Nitiri.
