It's autumn, but there's no snow on the ground yet, and Souji is wearing only the kimono of the Shinsengumi uniform. The haori just makes him feel... flashy.

Still, though, he was much more warmly dressed than the man lying on the cold ground, and he stands over him curiously.

"That looks cold!"

The newcomer blinks and sits up, looking down at himself. "Yeah, it's a bit cold: I was sleeping in my world, safe and sound, but somehow I woke up here."

Souji holds out a hand to the stranger-- he's obviously unarmed and doesn't seem to pose much of a risk in his thin yukata.

"You wouldn't want to catch a cold! I found an empty house to sleep in, maybe you could find one too. Although some new clothes wouldn't be a bad idea..."

The newcomer grins. "A house would be great, but let's start with some warmer clothes," he says, shivering. "It's too cold for this, but I suppose you can't help what you're wearing when you show up here."

"Well, we could look for something together, if you'd like that," he offers. "That way we can find what we need that much quicker. This looks like a good-sized village, so I'm sure we can find what we need."

He sticks his hands into the sleeves of his own clothes to warm them up, and nods enthusiastically. "I haven't really explored outside the village yet, either! Who knows what's there!"

"I might as well be useful!" He inclines his head and smiles. "Souji Okita." He's hoping that people won't recognise him here-- so far, only one has, and she didn't seem afraid of him. It's quite refreshing, actually.
