But I have been asking questions, particularly from you. Your attempts at lecturing about everything we've discussed and what I should do are pointless.

If you are trying to spin me in circles to distract and avoid answering the question, then the only thing you've succeeded is not answering the question and giving vague hints and riddles. Normally I would consider this a waste of my time, but I'm not too foolish to waste an even greater opportunity.

But if you are going to continue this charade, then I have to ask this. Will you or will you not give me a straight answer, or will you be like the others and try to deflect thereby forcing me to continue searching for answers on my own?

You do have a point there. I was meaning from others, but I technically can't fault the logic behind your statement since it is true.

Unlike many of the others, you have made the most progress by looking past the vagueness and presentation of the message in favour of trying to engage in conversation and find answers. For that, I should at least reward you a bit.

How about this. I'll answer one question truthfully without running you in circles. The depth of the answer I give is up to my discretion.

One question, you say. [whether or not that it's truthful is still up in the air, but having to take in both the truths and the lies was all part of the investigation process. he knew that much.

one question. there was a multitude of questions he could think of, all of which needed answering. he did not know when he would have another chance, so he had to make this count. should he ask something that was more generic or more specific to their current situation? clearly the warning itself was worrisome, but it would only solve the instant case. and even if he figured out this instance, they would have to go through this cycle again.
