Ty Lee! Is that really you?

Hm? [Ty Lee was about to hop gracefully off the scarecrow when all of a sudden she sees what looks very much like a huge suit of armour charging towards her. Normally, she'd be a bit more curious but, pardon her if she lets out a startled scream, throwing her arms around the neck of the scarecrow. Sorry Al, it just looks like you're one of the Fire Nations foot soldiers with that armour. Nevermind that she just basically took out their princess, but that was a bit different. Mai was at least there with her.]

Eeeeek!! How did you guys follow me here?

[ Freeze. For a moment, he's all confused. ]

[With most if not all of the snow gone, Beat had taken some time to let Kazuo stretch his tiny feet. It had been a while since the animal had been let out considering how the snow had set in early in the dream world and there was no place for him to migrate to avoid the low temperatures. It honestly made Beat wonder if turtleducks could even migrate with that huge shell on their backs. Regardless, their walk had taken them to the edge of Espoir and Somni, not too far off from a scarecrow field.

That was when the turtleduck started quacking. Loudly. Beat didn't even mind Kazuo as he continued walking as here wasn't even a leash to mind him with anyway. But even his patience could only last so long with all that constant quacking.]

The hell you quackin' 'bout, yo?

[Before he knew it Kazuo was making his way over to the field of scarecrows. Beat was just about ready to brush it off and leave the animal be for the time being. At least until he saw just what, or rather who Kazuo was heading to.

No way. That ain't really her, right?]

[And yet it was.

It was Ty Lee.

It had been far too long since he had seen her last and just having her appear out of the blue like that? You'd think someone who'd been around in Somarium for more than two years would be used to this sort of thing. But these kinds of surprises? There was just no way you could soften the blow. He wasn't even sure how to prepare himself for something like this if it were to happen. And now that this was actually happening, all he could do was stand stupidly as he looked on, his mouth agape in evident surprise.

The dumbfounded look remained on his features as he took a step towards the field, towards Ty Lee.]

[To say there was a lump in his throat would be an understatement. However, a rock the size of his fist in his mouth would be an apt description. Beat stops some distance away, curling and uncurling his fists at his sides in hopes to take the edge off. Even then it only seemed to help slightly.

Kazuo on the other hand finally reached his destination as the boy stood frozen not too far off, making enough noise to attract the girl's attention.]

[it's admittedly been far too long for Draco to keep track of everyone who comes and goes, but he does recognise that voice - she's too chipper for him to not remember her. He needs fresh air, and has apparently killed two birds with one stone as he comes across her sitting on the scarecrow. It doesn't surprise him at all.

[He comes to pause nearby, eavesdropping only because...well, he doesn't know what else to do.]

I didn't know the scarecrows spoke.

You think you saw some? Oh, don't be mean! I can't tell if you're joking or...

[Ty Lee trails off when she hears the voice and she looks down, blinking a few times at the blonde boy. He looks strangely familiar but she can't figure out from where she's seen him. He does have a lovely aura though and if the face isn't enough to tip her off, the aura is.]

They've very shy. You have to be nice to them - it's a hard job after all standing in a field all day doing nothing but being sat on by crows and chasing them away!

What about the times they decide to hop angrily after you for trespassing? [he tries, chuckling quietly. He wonders briefly if she even remembers him - they weren't that close, but there does seem to be a flicker of recognition.] I was always curious as to why they did that.

Well they're just doing their job! You can't get angry at them if they want to play sometimes. [She gives the scarecrow and affectionate pat on the cheek and it seems to lean into her hand. Finally she stands up, balancing easily on the little space that she has and flips down onto the ground gracefully beside the boy.]

I hope I don't have to be at the end of that joke though. It sounds like it would be terrifying to see one of these guys hopping after you.

[rushofwingbeats]

[there's a man in the distance.... and then when you blink, he's suddenly close.]

That scarecrow isn't sentient.

[Ty Lee lets out a little yelp as she grabs onto the scarecrow's neck, creaking back and forth with it as its jolted by the sudden weight of her. She isn't quite sure what the word means - she never did spend enough time in school learning like Mai did but she can take a stab at what he's saying to her and hopes it's right.]

You scared me! And well...I'm not quire sure what that word means but he's very friendly once you listen a little harder.

[rushofwingbeats]

[he looks up at her and the scarecrow. it's certainly an admirable feat to stand on a scarecrow, after all. Then, he presses the palm of one hand to the scarecrow, searching for any kind of energy and/or the sense of a soul.]

It isn't speaking.

[centerofthering]

I think you scared him a little. [She giggles and pats the scarecrow's cheek affectionately.] He'll start talking soo enough, don't you worry.

Oh, but since you're here...do you know where we are by any chance? I seem to be a bit lost.

[Takuma was walking by the fields with an umbrella over his head and groceries in the other arm when he heard the familiar voice and caught an oddly familiar scent, though he hadn't smelt it recently.

It was then he saw the girl]

Ah! Ty Lee!

[centerofthering]

[She squints at the boy, unsure about what to say to the person who has an odd aura. Despite that, it's not an unfriendly aura and she gives him a smile in the end.]

I'm sorry, do I know you? You look familiar and so does your aura but I can't be sure.

Oh...

So you don't really remember?

[Well that's a bit disheartening, but the fact that she's back along with a lot of people that were here when he was last here makes him a bit happy, at least]

I'm Takuma Ichijou.

[His aura was probably a bit more sad since what had happened in his own world had put a lot of emotional strain on him as well as busted a bit of his sparkles]

[She can tell that and apparently hearing that she didn't recognize him dampened his aura considerably too.]

I-I'm sorry I can't remember! I just...I woke up and it felt like I've been here before but I don't know why that is. But if you recognize me then I must have been here! Mai always said that I had a bad memory but I never thought it would be that bad...
